Mr. Charles Garcia has over 15 years capital markets experience, specializing in merchant banking advising Hispanic companies in expansions strategies, equity financings and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to founding Garcia & Company, the predecessor firm to Garcia Trujillo, he founded and led a financial services firm focused on Hispanic consumers which he grew from 3 people at its founding to 60 offices in 7 countries, raising over $200 million in venture capital for more than 30 companies.
In August of 2002, Hispanic Business magazine named the firm the #1 fastest growing Hispanic company in the U.S. Inc. magazine named it the #8 fastest growing privately held company in the U.S. Three organizations selected Mr. Garcia for the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award. Mr. Garcia’s work in promoting the advancement of Hispanics has been recognized by Hispanic Business, which named him “One of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the United States”. He is profiled in three recent books: Think and Grow Rich: A Latino Choice; Building the Latino Future; and Hispanics in the USA: Making History where he was chosen as one of the 14 Hispanic role models for the nation.
Mr. Garcia serves on the Board of Directors of Winn Dixie Stores, a Fortune 500 company. He is the former Chair of Aetna’s Latino Advisory Council, reporting to senior management on how to increase their Hispanic market share. The Obama Administration appointed him Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is on the advisory board of Florida State University’s Hispanic Marketing Communications school. Mr. Garcia has published two bestselling books on leadership and success.
